Expected annual base salary range: $87,480 to $136,000

GPS level: P4

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior eCOA Business Operations Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing the priorities of the WCG CES business technology initiatives to meet the current and future needs of strategic clients and support the overall goal of therapeutic expansion and innovation. This role will serve as the business owner for all strategic eCOA IT development opportunities, collaborating with subject matter experts to identify and communicate challenges, and ensuring solutions are delivered effectively with a focus on quality and compliance. The Senior eCOA Business Operations Manager is responsible to ensure business requirements for strategic initiatives and new services adopted by the CES leadership are clearly defined and followed to deliver the highest quality outcome within a specified timeline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Consistently execute the working methodology to ensure the complete and effective rollout of WCG CES strategic initiatives related to the growth of all technology platforms for the delivery of eLearning and electronic clinical outcome assessments in support of WCG CES long-term objectives and goals.

  • Serves as business liaison regarding the operational strategy of CES business needs that are guided by established goals and priorities by providing key decision points for final implementation as an initiative business owner.

  • Proactively identifies and leads actions on opportunities that result in improved processes and/or technology service offerings that will contribute to overall revenue and profit goals for the WCG CES business.

  • Identify and communicate potential challenges proactively, providing solutions to mitigate risk.

  • Maintains comprehensive records and provides regular status reporting to leadership on project status.

  • Regularly collaborates and effectively interacts with clients, cross-functional leaders, and teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives of the WCG CES business in alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Build and foster strong working relationships with internal subject matter experts and external collaborators to obtain the relevant information for making operational decisions for all service offerings.

  • Influence and educate (if needed) cross-functional collaborators and leadership to successfully articulate the risks and benefits of new or expanded service offerings brought forth as a result of growth or changing business needs.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to eCOA and clinical trials.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 7 years of experience in the life science industry.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have at least 7 years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry with progressive focus on eCOA.

  • Demonstrated experience in indirect project management and working within a remote environment.

  • Subject expertise in Technology, and/or Business Operations.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to clinical trails and eCOA systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex business issues, challenges, and opportunities clearly and succinctly to all levels including senior leaders.

  • Proven ability to drive successful outcomes within cross-functional teams with strong influencing skills to achieve consensus among multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding and ability to execute all WCG CES vision, goals, and strategies.

  • Ability to think strategically, implement change, incorporate innovation, and implement strategies to support business growth.

  • Successfully operate in a fast-paced environment, managing and meeting multiple projects/or timelines simultaneously.
