Summary:
- Offers senior clinical and supervisory expertise in the areas of patient care, treatment and discharge planning, staff supervision and program development for an active department.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and support for treatment planning process on assigned units (e.g., general psychiatry, dual diagnosis, medical detox and short term care facility programs); attends daily patient care meetings. Provides clinical supervision/services in the areas of case management, group therapy, family intervention and other specialized therapies, as indicated. Ensures departmental completion of relevant patient documentation including but not limited to: Assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans. Provides ongoing weekly clinical supervision, orientation and training to program staff. Responsible for the completion of administrative tasks for assigned services. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, report preparation; ensuring regulatory compliance (including auditing and monitoring charts); conducting staff meetings, staff orientation and ongoing staff training, monitoring ongoing staff performance including conducting performance reviews for direct reports in a timely manner, and related managerial activities. Provides leadership for program development as required/requested. Monitors quality of patient care. Works with the PHBH IP Services PI Department to design, implement and monitor performance improvement initiatives for the department. Supports customer service and patient satisfaction (Press Ganey) as well as performance improvement goals of the department and the organization; collaborates with other caregivers/staff, within and outside the Department, to develop measurable means of enhancing patient care and services. Supports Utilization Management initiatives around efficient high quality care and timely discharge planning. Establishes and promotes productivity standards for the department.
Credentials:
- Licensed Clinical SW (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work with a New Jersey license as a clinical social worker (LCSW)
