Position Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Advanced Analytics & Insights responsible for leading and driving the organization's data analytic capabilities with key stakeholders to align business goals that generate business insights, uncover growth opportunities, optimize operations, foster innovation, and support data driven decision making. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, guiding business units in the development and evaluation of new and existing approaches and strategies to maximize the value derived from data assets.

Responsibities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Enable business units and functions with data, tools, and models to generate insights, develop metrics / KPIs. Drive data-driven decisions to achieve organizational strategic objectives.

• Partner with product, finance, and other domains to implement innovative technologies, platforms, and advanced analytics capabilities.

• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of analytic platforms, to accelerate user adoption, change management, productivity improvement, and deliver organizational efficiency.

Advanced Analytics and Data Science:

• Leverage and provide subject matter expertise in the areas of Advance Analytics including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Augmented Analytics, Data Fabric, Data Integration, Data Visualization, and Generative AI to further the transformation of data into a strategic asset.

• Define and implement appropriate data acquisition and integration approaches to ensure the ability to monitor, improve performance, and optimize the scalability of data solutions.

• Introduce and drive the adoption of self-service, advanced analytics, and tools to continuously advance and improve the organization’s strategic use of data.

Agile Delivery of Data Solutions:

• Utilize agile methodology to work closely with cross functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholder to quickly develop and iterate Data Analytic and BI solutions.

• Develop a strategy to democratize data through AI Driven Self-Service analytics solutions.

• Ensure that data solutions are delivered in a timely manner, meeting the evolving needs of the business, and producing incremental value.

Business Engagement:

• Oversee and collaborate with business units and functions across the organization on data initiatives, drive proof of concepts, prototypes, pilots, and projects to ensure they meet business needs and deliver value.

• Promote and lead in the design and development of data and analytical models, dashboards, reports, data visualizations, integration, and automation.

• Educate business stakeholders on the benefits and capabilities of data analytics.

• Ensure delivery of actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to business leaders.

• Monitor and report on the impact of data initiatives on business performance.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, including data scientists, data analysts, data engineers and business intelligence developers.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the data team.

• Manage budgets, timelines for project initiatives, and daily activities of team members.

Technology and Tools:

• Evaluate new and innovative advanced analytical capabilities that support the enterprise data strategy.

• Identify the tools and technologies in delivering fit for function solutions to meet business needs.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of data innovation.

Performance Metrics:

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data initiatives and their impact on business and operational outcomes.

• Align data team KPIs with business KPIs to ensure that data activities drive measurable business and operational value.

• Regularly review and report on KPIs, using data to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic data-driven decision making.

• Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.

• Strong leadership and ability to lead, influence, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.

• Proven experience in driving change and building consensus among stakeholders.

• Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for leveraging data to drive innovation and business growth.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.

• Comfortable evangelizing the value of data analytics and fostering a data-driven culture.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Adaptable and flexible in response to changing business needs and priorities

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data modeling, analysis, and visualization tools. Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data visualization, SQL, Python/R, and machine learning frameworks.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, advanced analytics, data management or related roles.

• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience to constitute a similar level of expertise, i.e.:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in relevant field OR Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in relevant field

• Proficient understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and data visualization tools.

• Experience with agile methodologies and delivering data solutions in an agile framework.

• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling data analytics capabilities.
