Robert Half Credit Analyst in Princeton, New Jersey

Description

We're seeking a seasoned Credit Analyst with a minimum of four years in the field, who has undergone robust credit training. The primary role of this position involves collecting and analyzing credit information pertaining to existing and prospective borrowers. This encompasses deciding the prudence of sanctioning credit across various loan types. In addition, the role involves supporting loan officers and less experienced credit analysts with drafting loan proposals for approval. Maintaining strong customer relationships to promote business and referring clients to the corresponding employees for novel services is also part of the role when necessary.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Role:

  • New loan business underwriting, including annual reviews and renewals/adjustments.

  • The primary focus will be on commercial rather than consumer work.

  • Participating in customer calls/meetings when needed.

  • Contributing to the loan approval process.

  • Assisting with the organization of loan portfolio reviews, audits, and regulatory evaluations.

  • Supervising the credit function like reporting stress testing, covenant testing, credit file upkeep, etc.

  • Maintaining Borrower Financial Statement Tickler Report and Financial Covenant Tracking Report on a monthly basis, including calculation and adherence. Collaborating with Relationship Managers to acquire required data and produce and organize the Financial Statement Cover Memo.

  • Achieving fluency in Moody's Lending Cloud software (such as financial spreading, global cash flows, and rent roll modules) and company regulations, particularly pertaining to legal lending limit thresholds, general authority approval levels, and underwriting instructions.

  • Supporting the Credit Officer in coordinating the yearly loan portfolio reviews, audits, and regulatory audits.

    Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

  • Credit-trained with a minimum of 4 years of credit or lending experience.

  • Exceptional organizational, managerial, communicative, and analytical capabilities.

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable:

  • Acquaintance with financial policies and procedures, including credit norms and loan processing.

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial statements and assessing credit risks.

  • Experience with software systems used in the loan process, particularly Moody's Lending Cloud.

  • Precise attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Can work independently as well as in a team.

  • Professional discretion to maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and business information.
