Robert Half Billing - Accounts Receivable (AEC) in Princeton, New Jersey

Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk with experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth financial operations of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities: Invoice Generation: Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices based on project contracts, time logs, and milestone schedules. Contract Compliance: Ensure all invoices align with contract terms, including billing rates, retainage, and payment schedules specific to the AEC industry. Accounts Reconciliation: Regularly review and reconcile project billings, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and accounting staff to track project costs, budgets, and billing milestones. Reporting: Generate periodic billing, aging, and accounts receivable reports for management review. Client Relations: Address client inquiries and concerns regarding invoices and payment terms professionally and promptly. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and detailed billing records for audit and compliance purposes. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of [1-3 years] billing experience in the AEC industry required. Familiarity with industry-specific billing practices, such as progress billings and change orders. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting and project management software such as Deltek Vision, Procore, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables). Education: High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Skills and Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of lien waivers, retainage, and other AEC-specific financial practices is a plus.
