Yorktel is currently seeking a Regional AV Technician (floater) who will play a crucial role in supporting the customer’s clients. This is a client-facing position, requiring the floater to travel within NJ to support various sites. They must demonstrate professionalism and possess a strong customer service mindset. The floater will provide backfill and surge support at other locations in NJ and respond to client requests for meeting support, addressing any issues to the best of their ability.Roles & Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service.Assist clients with collaboration technology and processes.Support all collaboration technologies, including but not limited to:Microsoft TeamsMeetup devicesOwl video devicesWebexZoomOffer end-user support for:Scheduling meetings with technologyRequesting supportBasic use of collaboration technologyTroubleshoot Level 1 issues, including:Replacing equipmentSwapping cablesBasic troubleshootingEscalate issues as needed, following the established process.Perform weekly room checks.Conduct quarterly room preventative maintenance.Manage and report on all technology requests using the client's Incident Management System:Ensure all assigned tickets are updated and closed upon resolution.Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required, on time.Adhere to all Yorktel policies, including:TimekeepingOvertime requests and authorizationsVacation and sick time requestsFollow all client policies.Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneSkills & Abilities: Basic understanding of IP networking.Basic understanding of A/V signal flows.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required.1-3 years of experience working with audio/visual equipment.1-3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues.1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role.Additional Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.Willingness to work overtime, as permitted by local labor laws.Travel within NJ required (no overnight stays), as directed by the manager.Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet (3 meters).Must be able to speak and understand English.Join us and you will enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package, including 401k and Flex 125 plans.We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
