WorkSource Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Long Term Care Center in Prairie City, Oregon
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic patient care and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse or RN in charge of the unit. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Required: * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. * Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of related work experience. * Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred: * Working experience in Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Private In-Home Care or Rehab Facility. Duties: * Provides direct Resident care within the certified nursing assistant\'s scope of practice. * Communicates to the RN any observed change in Resident\'s status and responses such as pain, vital signs or intake and output. * Provides appropriate care for geriatric age and diagnosis(es) of Resident. * Provides explanation to Residents (and family if applicable) prior to administering care and answers question within scope of practice. * Additional duties as assigned.
