Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) delivers services and operational support to meet business integration objectives. Architecture leadership to provide scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions to meet care delivery business needs and enable future business growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

At the Senior Infrastructure Operations (IO) Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Generating OPSMVS and Netview/SA rules and scripts that replace manual operator commands

  • Creating system monitoring rules and scripts to monitor system messages and conditions to allow appropriate responses by Operations and support teams

  • Designing code to generate automatic Service Now tickets

  • Successfully implementing requests within SLA timeframes

  • Assisting in GDPS software installation and GDPS script coding and maintenance in support of the current and future Rapid Recovery/Disaster Recovery processes

  • Serving in an “on call” rotation, which could include weekend commitments

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in the use of TSO, ISPF and SDSF

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in the use of zOS operations commands

  • 10+ years of experience with the zOS operating system, including JES2, RACF, and other base systems

  • 5+ years of experience with OPSMVS REXX and rules coding and with Netview/SA REXX and rules coding, specifically as it relates to GDPS

  • 5+ years of experience in providing automation solutions via the OPSMVS and Netview/SA products

  • 5+ years of experience with GDPS installation and script coding for purposes of Disaster Recovery and Rapid recovery scenarios

Preferred Qualification:

  • 5+ years of experience using the appropriate API code for functions such as generating Service Now incident tickets

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
