Job Summary:

The Practice Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a healthcare practice. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and promoting a patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set performance goals

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient demand

  • Coordinate staff schedules, assign duties, and manage workload distribution

  • Provides coverage to front office as needed

  • May provide leadership, coaching and mentorship

  • Oversee scheduling, patient registration and appointment management

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and insurance claims processing

  • Manage inventory, supplies and equipment maintenance

  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize patient care and resource utilization

  • Foster a patient-centric environment by promoting high-quality care and compassionate service

  • Address patient concerns and complaints

  • Monitor patient feedback and implement improvements based on feedback

  • Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards

  • Collaborate with finance and patient accounting teams to manage the practices financial aspects

  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed

  • Complete billing (School, County and insurance based) and verifies insurance benefits/ eligibility in accordance with policy, practice and schedule for all programs

  • Reconcile billing and payment information as needed

  • Utilize and manage healthcare information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and associated software

  • Promote the adoption of technology for improved efficiency and patient care

  • Performs other related duties as directed or required.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role in an office setting, required.

Education:

High School Diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
