Job Summary:
The Practice Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a healthcare practice. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and promoting a patient-centric environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular performance reviews and set performance goals
Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient demand
Coordinate staff schedules, assign duties, and manage workload distribution
Provides coverage to front office as needed
May provide leadership, coaching and mentorship
Oversee scheduling, patient registration and appointment management
Ensure accurate and timely billing and insurance claims processing
Manage inventory, supplies and equipment maintenance
Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize patient care and resource utilization
Foster a patient-centric environment by promoting high-quality care and compassionate service
Address patient concerns and complaints
Monitor patient feedback and implement improvements based on feedback
Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards
Collaborate with finance and patient accounting teams to manage the practices financial aspects
Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed
Complete billing (School, County and insurance based) and verifies insurance benefits/ eligibility in accordance with policy, practice and schedule for all programs
Reconcile billing and payment information as needed
Utilize and manage healthcare information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and associated software
Promote the adoption of technology for improved efficiency and patient care
Performs other related duties as directed or required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role in an office setting, required.
Education:
High School Diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
