Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Pottsville Materials in Pottsville, PA. This individual will be responsible for promoting and selling our quarry products such as crushed stone, gravel, etc. to construction companies, contractors, distributors, and other commercial customers. The Sales Representative will also manage customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:Promote and sell quarry materials aggregates, gravel, crushed stone, etc. to customers in the construction, infrastructure, and landscaping industries.Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying and addressing their needs while ensuring satisfaction with products and services.Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching potential clients and market trends.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with customers to maximize profitability while ensuring competitiveness.Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to clients.Prepare and present sales proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients.Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to stay ahead of industry trends.Provide accurate sales forecasts, track performance against goals, and report on sales activities and results.Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally.Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to sales activities and product offerings.
Qualifications
Requirements:Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the construction, materials, or related industry experience in quarry sales is a plus.Strong understanding of the products offered e.g., aggregates, construction materials and their applications.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.Self-motivated with a goal-oriented approach to sales and performance.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.A valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed to visit clients and prospects.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of local construction industry and contractors.Experience with large-scale industrial sales.A background in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.Physical Requirements:Ability to travel frequently local and regional.Ability to work in outdoor environments and visit production sites.Occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 30 lbs may be required.Compensation:Competitive base salaryHealth and retirement benefits.Paid time off and holidays.
