DMMA Sample Preparation Lab Operator in Pottstown, Pennsylvania

Summary

• This position is a fast paced, "Just in time", "Time is of the essence" position that requires a detail-oriented individual that is aware of the consequences of poor reporting, and will take every measure available to avoid. • The physical requirements of this job require working at heights 24" from floor level, and average upper body strength, including the ability to stand and navigate the production floor and lab area for lengthy time periods. • Initial direction is given at the start of the work day, with necessary updates as the day progresses, with little or no assistance from others. • It is the operator's responsibility to implement and complete the assigned task

 

Basic requirements

A. Available for work, Weekdays 8AM-4PM, overtime when necessary

B. Occasional Saturday work

C. Ability to lift 10 to 50lbs repetitively.

D. Ability to stand and navigate between the production floor and the lab for extended periods of time

E. Ability to work and cooperate with others F. Ability to quickly change focus as production needs dictate

Specific requirements

A. Ability to force (hammer) sampling devices through de-canned material, using hammers and step stools to gain access. 

B. Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic machinery within the confines of the lab, and production floor.

C. Possess and utilize basic math skills, including knowledge and interpretation of percentage ratios and fractions

D. Possess excellent record keeping skills

E. Possess excellent organizational skills

F. Possess excellent communication skills

G. Possess excellent housekeeping skills

H. Ability to "Multi Task"

I. Understanding of the metric system of measurement

J. Above average numerical analytical skills

K. Ability to work with MS Excel or Google Spreadsheets for daily record keeping or willing to learn
