Northeast Migrant Education Program 2024 Adolescent Outreach Advocate/Field Specialist Ad

The Research Foundation for SUNY, a private, not-for-profit corporation, seeks a passionate and enthusiastic full-time Adolescent Outreach Advocate/Field Specialist (Teachers Assistant) for the Northeast Migrant Education Program at SUNY Potsdam. The successful candidate will assess needs, mentor and tutor students, provide career education and secondary and post-secondary planning, assist director with networking with families and the community, recruit for summer programs, and arrange trips for youth in grades 7-12 in Franklin County, St. Lawrence and Clinton Counties. Associates degree in education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with adolescents preferred. Cell phone with voicemail, dependable vehicle and valid drivers license required. Some weekend and evening hours required.

Annual Salary is $36,075.00 $40,950.00, with paid mileage and benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance. Renewal of appointment is subject to The Research Foundation for SUNY policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of annual funding.
