Summary This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Colorado River Agency in Poston, Arizona. Reviews correct ownership and leasing records for land in the project service area in the National Irrigation Information Managment System. This is a Bargaining Unit position, for more information see What are bargaining units? Responsibilities Prepare bills, contact information & meets with water users to settle any billing or water usage disputes. Monitors irrigable land status whether, presently assessable, temporarily non-assessable, permanently not assessable and the amount or time the acres in Temporarily Non-Assessable. Prepare annual operation and maintenance (O&M) budget and justifications for O&M Rate setting process. Monitors and reconciles collections and expenses (and Undelivered Orders) to budget and actuals and maintain BEMs (cuff accounts). Process the maintenance work orders using the facility management database (MAXIMO). Prepare annual operation and maintenance (O&M) budget and justifications for O&M Rate setting process. Maintain COOP information database quarterly and monthly during billing and collection season. This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Grade-(06) Ability to apply knowledge of accounting principles, practices and techniques, must have 1 year of specialized experience at next lower grade or equivalent. Specialized Experience: Analyzing and researching to resolve financial account discrepancies and errors of customer payments and deposits; preparing schedule of collection and balance remittance for customer payments and deposits; recognizing various financial transactions by tracking obligations and expenditures; and utilizing automated accounting and billing system to produce reports. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
