Electrical Designer

Evans Engineering and Consulting Post Falls, ID

Evans Engineering is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will develop electrical design documents related to various electrical systems and components for commercial and industrial construction projects.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Electrical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field
• 3-5 years of electrical design experience
• Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards and best practices
• Proficient with AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of electrical systems such as electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and control systems
• Create schematics, diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings
• Select appropriate cabling, wiring, devices and electrical equipment
• Conduct site surveys and integrate electrical requirements into project design documents
• Perform quality assurance checks on electrical drawings
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams
• Provide technical guidance to drafters and/or technicians

This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
