Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Federal)

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for specific projects. The Superintendent is responsible for managing production aspects, including ensuring production quality. You will supervise daily field activities to ensure timely project completion and adherence to the schedule. Your role involves interpreting, organizing, and coordinating work assignments. You will ensure that all construction complies with design specifications, is completed on schedule, stays within budget, and meets quality standards. You will implement the construction portion of assigned projects through day-to-day direction of all field activities and take responsibility for all job site activities.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred, not required)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent if no bachelor's degree

  • Experience with two federal projects

  • USACE CQM certification

  • EM-385 certification

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent coordination abilities

  • Effective communication skills

  • Leadership capabilities

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Work Environment

The job site is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. This position involves a mix of office/trailer work and outdoor activities, subject to various weather conditions.
