Insight Global Senior Wireless Engineer in Portsmouth, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a senior Wireless Network Engineer to support an IT consulting company who will work fully remote capacity for 90% of the time. The consultant is someone we are looking for in specific markets so they can travel on-site as need be; those markets are Lima, Toledo, or Cincinnati, Ohio, and Richmond or Hampton Roads, Virginia. This candidate will be responsible for monitoring and configuring the wireless network in an existing Cisco environment. He/she will manage AP's, upgrades, new configurations, design, and troubleshooting all wireless aspects for this client. The priority responsibilities will be working hands-on with Cisco wireless (DNAC, ISE, predictive design, surveys, and anything else pertaining to this wireless network)

Skills and Requirements

  • strong customer service personality and ability to work with cross-functional team

  • hands-on experience working within an enterprise Cisco environment (probably coming from data center)

  • experience with Cisco wireless (WAN, WAP)

  • hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Center

  • strong knowledge of EIGRP (or BGP, or the like) routing protocols - healthcare experience null
