Job Description Summary

The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applicants for part-time teaching positions for both face-to-face and online classes such as developmental algebra, college algebra, trigonometry, calculus and statistics.

Minimum Qualifications

(EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE)

  1. Master's degree in the respective or related area
  2. Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of mathematical skills and backgrounds
  3. Ability to use technology in teaching
  4. Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  5. Ability to work in a multiethnic/multicultural environment
  6. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend assignments -- daytime availability a plus (in some cases, may be required)
