Description

Robert Half is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to the design, maintenance, and optimization of their technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet the demands of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and troubleshoot servers, networks, and storage systems.

• Implement security measures and monitor systems for performance optimization and potential risks.

• Administer and optimize storage solutions to ensure data availability and integrity.

• Perform regular updates, system patching, and compliance-driven security enhancements.

• Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Oversee hosting platforms, including setup, configuration, and ongoing performance tuning.

• Manage domain registrations, public DNS configurations, and SSL/TLS certificate renewals.

• Utilize web security tools to safeguard systems against emerging threats.

• Coordinate with vendors for procuring and managing IT products and services.

• Act as a resource for escalations from various teams, including technical support and internal stakeholders.

• Implement and maintain backup systems and participate in disaster recovery planning.

• Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.

  Requirements

• 5+ years in a Systems Engineering or comparable technical role.

• Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, PCI, or similar).

• Experience with virtualization technologies and fundamental networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

• Hands-on experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience with storage and backup technologies
