Job Summary and Qualifications

As a PRN Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures and provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients according to established practices and standards. In addition:

  • You must prepare equipment, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.

  • You are expected to render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Explain all procedures to the patient. Performs physical assessment by checking IV’s, catheters, tubing, etc.

  • You will assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.

  • You are responsible for maintaining sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.

  • Real-time review of scans for technical accuracy (i.e. technical quality, correct anatomical positioning, annotation, etc…).

  • You must complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an AMA approved program.

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

  • Ability to perform Interventional Procedures.

  • You are able to effectively communicate and manage within a service line environment.

  • Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
