Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, wiring, and troubleshooting up to 480V motors and other electrical components, as well as PLCs. You will work heavily with sensors, proximity switches, relays, and other control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and troubleshoot up to 480V motors and electrical components.

  • Install, wire, and troubleshoot PLCs.

  • Work with sensors, proximity switches, relays, and other control systems.

  • Install and wire control panels for new machinery.

  • Interlock PLCs on new machinery.

  • Troubleshoot electrical components to ensure machines are running efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with electrical systems up to 480V.

  • Proficiency in wiring control panels.

  • Knowledge of control systems, sensors, proximity switches, and relays.

  • PLC troubleshooting and understanding of ladder logic.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to differentiate between AC and DC electricity.

  • Experience wiring both AC and DC power on the same machine.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
