Description

Kevin Wong with Robert Half is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in PORTLAND, Oregon. In this role, you will manage commercial tenant billing, property accounting, loan administration, bank reconciliations, and property tax tracking. You'll also assist with the final accounting process, annual budgeting, quarterly partner reporting, and property purchases and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial tenant billing and ensure timely rent increases

• Conduct property inspections and coordinate with maintenance for any necessary repairs

• Track insurance details and assist with refinancing when necessary

• Generate and analyze monthly financial statement reports for expense controls

• Assist with the annual budgeting process and review monthly recurring journal entries

• Handle daily balances and perform bank reconciliations

• Track property tax and facilitate monthly property tax savings transfers

• Assist with the preparation of legal documents for property purchases and sales

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Excel Formulas to perform duties effectively

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger and journal entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with complex Excel formulas

• Expertise in month-end close procedures

• Prior experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Must possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
