Job Description

An insurance company in the PNW is looking for a remote System Analyst to join their team. This person must be a senior resource who is comfortable working autonomously as a true problem solver. Duties vary between recoding, working with business stakeholders to take in and document requirements, updating reporting, critically thinking on how to streamline processes, and dig into how to continuously improve throughout this transformation. This is supporting the Actuarial Transformation, which is a multi-year initiative to automate and modernize the platforms and processes for the Actuaries to utilize customer data. This person will be remote and working core PST hours, with possibility to convert to full-time after the 6-month contract depending on performance.

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst or related field

• Strong understanding of recoding, how to reverse code or read coding languages to reverse engineer and relay to the technical team members

• Strong experience with SQL, would be nice to have Python / Pyspark as well

• Self starter, someone who enjoys problem solving and identifying ways to improve processes

• Experience with Confluence / Jira - Dataiku

• Collibra

• Development and Engineering background is a huge plus null
