Foss Maritime Operations and Technology Management Intern in Portland, Oregon

Supports project work in accounting functions associated with Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and financial reporting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: You will have the opportunity to: * Collaborate with Financial Analysts, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, requirements and assist in developing data-driven business decisions to optimize business operations. * Develop optimized business decisions based on Data, Supply Chain, and Management Information Systems analytics. * Find opportunities for driving continuous improvement decisions within Foss Northwest and Fleet Monitoring Center operations. * Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and Operations processes * Assist in Develop and maintain documentation for optimization projects, including data sources, calculations, and assumptions * Assist in the development of building and maintaining high-quality and visually appealing data visualizations * Ensure data analysis is accurate, reliable, and up-to-date * Evaluate jobs, prices, and processes invoice * Coordinates daily with sales, customer service, and operations for detailed information and special instructions to optimize operations. * Performs special duties and other projects as assigned. * Adheres to all company policies. * Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Problem-solving, mathematical and organizational skills. * Basic accounting, computer systems. * Writing and communications abilities. * Data Analytics * Operation and Technology Management * Knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This internship requires someone pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Operation and Technology Management, Business Management or related field.
