Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for pulling orders from the hospital's basement with supplies needed for doctors, nurses, and techs. You will manage a variety of products including gloves, needles, surgical supplies, masks, gowns, and other PPE. Additionally, you will ensure that the warehouse is fully stocked and replenish items as necessary. You will also be required to walk throughout the hospital to hand deliver supplies to various departments such as the ER and surgical offices.
Responsibilities
Pull orders from the basement with supplies for medical staff.
Ensure the warehouse is fully stocked and replenish items as needed.
Hand deliver supplies to various hospital departments.
Place materials on racks, shelves, bins, or refrigerated rooms based on predetermined sequences.
Assist in assembling certain parts if needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with inventory management.
Proficiency with RF scanners.
Order picking skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable working in a team environment with 20+ employees.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
Able to be on feet for the entire shift (8+ hours).
Proficient in reading and writing in English.
Comfortable using a computer to input data through EPIC.

Work Environment
You will work throughout the hospital, primarily in the basement and on the dock where trucks unload supplies. Interaction with nurses, doctors, techs, and other hospital staff is common, and you may occasionally interact with patients. Must be open to wearing a scrub top and other PPE as required. The shift is from 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) during the first 2-3 weeks of training, after which it will move to a Tue-Sat schedule with the same start time. Flexibility to work overtime when needed is required, and you must stay until the job is done.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
