Robert Half is partnering with a prominent healthcare organization in NE Portland, OR to identify a temporary Intake Coordinator to support the Intake Team with processing referrals and scheduling patients for their first appointments. In this role, these candidates will be tasked with processing intake referrals from multiple resources, faxing those through EPIC, answering the telephone and directing phone calls, speaking with patients and doctor office to coordinate, assisting with 'start of care' calls to collect registration information from patients to be seen.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating intake referrals from various sources and ensuring they are processed efficiently

• Handling telephone inquiries and directing calls as necessary

• Collaborating with patients and doctors' offices to schedule first appointments

• Assisting with 'start of care' calls to gather registration information from patients

• Utilizing Epic EMR for faxing and managing patient information

• Demonstrating strong customer service skills in an office environment

• Performing data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records

• Utilizing Microsoft Office Suites for administrative tasks

• Demonstrating basic office skills in a healthcare administration setting

• Working independently and taking appropriate action when monitoring patient accounts.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Applicant must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in patient intake procedures is essential.

• Strong customer service skills are required.

• Knowledge of healthcare administration is a must.

• Familiarity with Epic EMR software is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required.

• Basic office skills, such as filing, data entry, and phone etiquette, are necessary.
