Summary of Duties The Self Sufficiency Programs Mission is: To provide a safety net, family stability and a connection to careers that guide Oregonians out of poverty. The Self Sufficiency offices help administer program benefits such as food benefits (SNAP), cash for families (TANF), childcare assistance (ERDC), medical programs, refugee services, and domestic violence services. Your duties at a glance As a Human Service Specialist 1 (HSS1), you will: \' Create a welcoming environment for the public with friendly, respectful, professional service each day by phone, email and in-person. \' Explain agency notices, case, and benefit issuance information as requested by Oregonians. \' Provide referrals and information for additional services and community resources. \' Write clear and concise case notes to summarize information gathered from applicant(s) and collateral sources. \' Other duties as assigned. \' Work within a team that collaboratively rotates tasks to support the business needs of the office.
