Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales Enablement and Innovation to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will focus on empowering our front-line salespeople to effectively sell Autodesk software solutions that deliver more sustainable outcomes – reducing the whole life carbon of buildings, increasing the resilience and carbon associated with infrastructure - and more.

Your primary goal will be to support and enable our sales team in driving revenue growth through innovative approaches that align with both our sustainability and go-to-market/sales objectives.

This role can be hybrid, remote or office-based in North America or EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that empowers sales teams to sell Autodesk solutions that deliver sustainable outcomes for our customers and is successfully aligned with our worldwide sales and customer success team goals

  • Innovation & Incubation : Lead the incubation and development of new ideas and approaches to selling Autodesk sustainable solutions - ensuring these ideas are tested, refined, and proven - and can lead to wide-scale adoption

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, revenue operations, and GTM finance, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales enablement and sustainability goals

  • Training & Development : Design and deliver training programs, sales tools and resources that enhance the capabilities of our sales team in promoting and selling Autodesk sustainable solutions

  • Performance Management : Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that tie sustainability initiatives directly to business metrics such as revenue growth, Annual Contract Value (ACV), and customer retention and expansion metrics

  • Customer Engagement : Regularly engage with customers to understand their sustainability needs and comprehensively understand and demonstrate how Autodesk solutions can meet these needs effectively

  • Expertise: Act is the primary liaison between sales and product teams as the resident expert on current customer demand and future needs as it relates to sustainable outcomes in our industries

  • Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in sustainable design and make, and subsequently incorporate these insights into sales strategies

  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly and assiduously assess and improve sales enablement processes, tools, and strategies to ensure they remain effective and aligned with company objectives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Go-To-Market or Sales Enablement, with a preferred focus on SaaS solutions and a proven track record in driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies

  • Deep understanding of sustainable design principles and the ability to translate these into compelling sales messages

  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team

  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with company goals

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement initiatives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $177,800 and $287,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
