The Role:
As the Director of Polysomnography for our Oregon Region, you will be at the forefront of leading and integrating our Sleep Services, including Neurodiagnostics. Based in the beautiful state of Oregon, you will harness resources, respond to community needs, and stay ahead of national trends to shape the future of care delivery.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leader: Guide the integration of resources and direct them toward best practices, ensuring our services are both high-quality and cost-effective. Analyze trends and incorporate them into our strategic planning.
Operational Maestro: Oversee the management and coordination of Neurodiagnostic and Sleep Disorder centers. Standardize workflows, policies, and procedures to maintain a high standard of care across all departments.
Community Advocate: Develop and implement marketing strategies that respond to community needs and opportunities. Build relationships with public entities, physicians, and payors to foster a robust referral network.
Fiscal Steward: Develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring financial sustainability. Oversee the financial performance of the program, including revenue, expense, and capital budgets.
Human Resources Champion: Perform all HR functions, including performance evaluations, training, orientation, and staff meetings. Lead the selection and counseling processes for new and existing employees.
Continuous Quality Improvement: Administer CQI programs with a focus on best practices and patient safety. Regularly review and adjust patient care systems to ensure quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Innovative Collaborator: Participate in system-level groups, develop TeleEEG and TeleSleep services, and work with IT and Clinical Engineering to enhance service delivery.
Leadership Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Use a participative management style to motivate and integrate regional teams.
Educational Pioneer: Attend continuing education events to maintain current knowledge and ensure our services are at the cutting edge of care.
Essential Functions:
Direct patient care and departmental operations, standardizing workflows across departments.
Conduct human resource functions including performance evaluations and staff training.
Administer CQI initiatives to align with best practices and ensure patient safety.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance service visibility and community engagement.
Display exceptional leadership, fostering effective communication and team motivation.
Lead and support strategic planning processes, with annual updates and timely achievement of objectives.
Manage the financial performance of the program, developing robust budgets and business plans.
Participate in system-level clinical focus groups, overseeing the development of TeleEEG and TeleSleep services.
Engage in continuous education to keep abreast of the latest industry trends and knowledge.
Collaborate on strategic planning and technology upgrades across the system.
What You'll Bring:
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business
Master's Degree in a health-related field preferred.
Certification: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or National Certified Polysomnographic Technician required upon hire.
Experience: 5 years of management or supervisory experience in Sleep and/or Neurodiagnostic departments.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive technical experience in Sleep and Neurodiagnostic services, with strong computer skills in databases, quality improvement, strategic forecasting, and report interpretation.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of Electroencephalography, Polysomnography, CQI, budgeting, forecasting, marketing, and planning techniques.
Skills: Ability to train, motivate, and conduct presentations. Proficient in coordinating departmental information systems and facilitating information flow.
