Harder Mechanical Contractors Custodian in Portland, Oregon

As a Custodian, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the corporate office and parking lot at Harder Mechanical Contractors Portland headquarters office. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management, and an elevated level of customer service. You will support the office management team to ensure operations run smoothly and effectively. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 5:00am-11:00am. This is a full-time position and is paid at an hourly rate.

Custodians at Harder perform the following daily tasks:

  • Daily maintenance and cleanup of building exterior and parking areas

  • Regular inside cleaning of common areas, restrooms, conference rooms, etc.

  • Interior window and glass cleaning as needed

  • Maintenance of kitchen supplies and amenities (including frequent item stocking)

  • Safely use cleaning supplies and equipment that may include chemicals and light machinery

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, supplies, and contractors as needed

  • Additional tasks as assigned

    What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Demonstrated self-starter ability

  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor

  • Strong attention to details and time management skills

  • Physical Requirements: capacity to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs)

  • Access to reliable transportation to and from the office

    Education/Experience:

  • 2-5 years of custodian experience

  • Previous custodian experience in an office/professional environment preferred
