Robert Half Credit Administrator in Portland, Oregon
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Administrator to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Portland, Oregon. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is 100% remote for a local candidate! The Credit Administrator will be in charge of maintaining customer credit records, processing customer credit applications, and managing accounts to continually assess credit risks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records.
• Assist in managing accounts to continually assess credit risks and adjust credit limits as needed.
• Request and analyze bank trades, financial statements, and credit reports to establish credit limits for potential new and existing customers.
• Maintain and update credit files with commercial credit reports, bank and trade references, customer correspondence, and other customer information.
• Update multiple systems with customer information in accordance with policies and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Respond to credit reference requests and maintain a daily Trade AR Issues Log.
• Work collaboratively with team members and customers to research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Extract historical customer information from IT systems and provide it in report format as required.
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly department reporting using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure anticorruption compliance as set forth in the Anticorruption Manual.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Check Processing
• Knowledge of Collection Processes
• Familiarity with Oracle
• Proficiency in Excel Formulas
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Credit - Collections
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Familiarity with the steel manufacturing industry is advantageous.
