Goodwill NNE is seeking a high-energy Residential Program Coordinator for one of our homes in Portland, Maine. This individual reports to the Program Manager and offers an excellent opportunity for a Direct Support Professional to learn and develop management skills. In addition to providing direct care to residents, working as a Residential Program Coordinator can support your long-term career goals in the rewarding Human Services field.
Hourly Rate: $20.20
Job Summary:
Assists the Residential Program Manager with operating a residential, deaf, or community program and participates in staff management, ensuring all service recipients’ needs are met.
Responds to urgent matters related to service recipients, employees, and the facility, in the absence of the Residential Program Manager.
Assists in assuring the quality of the designated program about service recipient needs and satisfaction.
Works to ensure that all necessary certifications for facility staff are current within agency policy.
Proactively engages the residents while setting examples in expectations for the staff.
Requirements:
One year experience in a residential setting
Prior work experience with persons with challenging behaviors
Certification and license as determined by program requirements
Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record
Evidence of high school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
A criminal background check that meets Agency standards
COVID 19 Vaccination
Possess or be willing to obtain (unless you have a medical exemption) the current State of Maine required immunizations for MMR, Varicella (Chicken Pox), and seasonal flu, plus, at the new employee’s option, the Hepatitis B vaccine. New Employees must bring proof of vaccination to their first day of work or start the immunization process within two weeks of their first day of work.
Goodwill will pay for or reimburse for the above vaccines. New employment is contingent on the full schedule of all required vaccines. Failure to receive complete vaccination may result in termination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct Support Professional Certification (or College of Direct Support)
Active CRMA, CRMA 40 Preferred
NAPPI or Behavioral Intervention Certification
CBIS (When applicable)
