Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health is currently looking for a clinician to join our growing Portland Outpatient Therapy Team! This is a full-time year-round position providing individual, group, and family substance user disorder counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder (SUD). This clinician will provide in-person therapy at our Elm Street location in addition to some telehealth sessions. Some late afternoon/evenings may be required. Caseload will be comprised of adults and transitional age youth. Company laptop and cell phone provided as well as training and therapy supply funds.

    DUTIES:

  • Provide intake/assessment when individuals are referred and ongoing assessment as required, including identification of physical health, behavioral health, and substance use disorder related risk factors.

  • Facilitate Individual Service Plan team meetings and develop a plan of care (ISP) for individuals with input from the team. Plan will include a relapse prevention plan, and a crisis plan.

  • Provide individual, group, and family client substance use disorder counseling utilizing best practices, culturally competent, trauma informed, and evidenced based models.

  • Provide care coordination and support through phone contact, face-to-face meetings, home visits, and community outreach. Ensure that individuals are aware of all community services and resources. Assist individuals and families in accessing resources.

  • Partner with all Opioid Health Home team members, including clinical supervisor, nurse, peer recovery coach, and medication assisted treatment provider.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Earned Master's degree in social work, counseling or an allied mental health field from an accredited school. Any of the following Maine State Licenses: Licensed Master Social Worker/Conditional (Clinical), LMSW/C (C); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
