Stryker Corporation Senior Engineer, Applications in Portage, Michigan

Senior Engineer, Applications for Stryker Corporation in Portage, MI, to develop and design software components per requirements and defined architecture. Lead code reviews for components in systems applying design principals, coding standards, and best practices. Conduct and design prototyping and bench testing, problem solve, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against component and subsystem requirements. Conduct research and studies to support product design and translate design inputs into engineering specifications and produce component and sub-system level designs. Perform code development and resource estimation. Design new components applying various advanced design concepts. Generate and review requirements, design, architecture, bugs, and test documents with project teams. Analyze customer needs and design input. Ensure adherence to fundamental industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies that apply to regulatory requirements. Independently create and refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file. Follow Research and Design (R&D) procedure like design controls and risk management according to the Quality Management System. Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success. Process and assimilate procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology requirements.

 

Requires: Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus two (2) years of experience as Bioengineers/Biomedical Engineers or related occupation using C, C++, and scripting languages for processing 2D images and 3D reconstruction and visualization using computer vision and image processing algorithms (may be gained during degree program) or, alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and no experience. Specific skills/other requirements - Demonstrated Expertise (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated expertise (DE) utilizing 3D graphics and geometry to render and manipulate three dimensional objects; (DE) image processing, computer vision and algorithm development and Skills may be gained during degree program. Salary Range: $136,224 to $182,100 Salary Offered: $136,224/year. Position requires 10% travel to sites in Weston, FL; Mahwah, NJ; and, Kalamazoo, MI.
