Description

We are in the search for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team, located in PORTAGE, Michigan. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and reconcile payroll data in a timely manner.

• Carry out accounting functions, including auditing, to ensure financial integrity.

• Oversee benefit functions, ensuring employees receive the benefits they are entitled to.

• Utilize Paychex Payroll system to streamline payroll processes.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Resolve customer inquiries related to payroll in a professional and timely manner.

• Stay updated on current regulations and practices in payroll processing

Requirements

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for maintaining and processing financial data

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions including preparing financial statements, budgeting, and tax preparation

• Knowledge of Auditing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions including managing employee benefits, insurance, and retirement plans

• Experience with Paychex for processing payroll and HR services

• Proficiency in using Paychex Payroll for managing employee salaries, taxes, and deductions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and interact with employees

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and record-keeping

• Willingness to stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
