Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift
Job Description
Under general supervision, the Assembler is responsible for assembling components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components to contribute to the completion of a variety of products. The assembler adheres to safety, quality, and quantity standards, following directions and blueprints to meet product specifications.
Responsibilities
Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components.
Follow safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Adhere to directions and blueprints to meet product specifications.
Ensure good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
Participate in cross-training and teamwork.
Speak up and address any safety or quality issues.
Learn new processes, systems, and equipment.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.
Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently, and occasionally lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
Capability to perform prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling.
Coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Meets cognitive demands including visual perception and mental concentration.
Work Environment
The work environment requires the use of hand and power tools. The job demands include prolonged physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and crawling. Employees must adhere to safety and quality standards and may be required to work overtime, including weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
