JOB REQUIREMENTS: Perform basic welding tasks: operate a semi-automatic welder and wire feeder, and visually assess weld quality. Follow mini process sheets, complete necessary paperwork, and ensure proper documentation accompanies parts. Work from blueprints, including recognizing welding views, symbols, interpreting dimensions, beveling, and reading a Bill of Material (BOM) or component drawings. Use hand and power tools such as grinders, cranes, hoists, powered hand trucks, and precision measuring devices. Conduct self-inspections, perform basic rigging with chains and slings, and use standard measuring tools like tape measures (both metric and standard), squares, and fillet weld gauges. Understand metric conversions and operate necessary hand tools like wire brushes, pliers, wire cutters, wrenches, C-clamps, and more. Identify metal types from blueprints or schematics, pre-heat and post-heat parts with torches and heat absorbent blankets, and ensure materials are properly identified. Participate in random quality inspections and adhere to ISO standards. Maintain departmental cleanliness and follow safety procedures, wearing required PPE.
