Shine Micro, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Assembler to work in a fast-paced team environment at our Port Ludlow office; located on the Olympic Peninsula between Kingston and Port Townsend. The job involves assembling printed circuit boards, cables, electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems using a variety of materials, tools and documentation. Experience working under ISO9001 and AS9100 or similar working practices and procedures is highly desirable. On-the-job training is provided and this position has the potential for growth.
Essential Duties
- Assemble surface-mount and through-hole components to IPC standards with various soldering tools, including under a microscope
- Assemble PCBAs into sub-assemblies and systems
- Follow documented assembly and work procedures
- Remove and replace SMT and through-hole electronic components
- Follow ISO 9001 quality system and common industry workmanship standards
- Follow proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times
- Perform job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
- Overtime may be occasionally required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year soldering experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and bills of material
- Electronic component identification skills
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, motivation and ability to learn new processes
- Detail oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks, good time management, team player
Additional Knowledge and Skills (Desired, not required)
- Lean Manufacturing -- Continuous Improvement
- Advanced soldering certificates or equivalent experience
