Northrop Grumman has an immediate employment opportunity available for a Sr. Principal Technical Services Engineer-Enterprise Maintenance Lead located in Port Hueneme, CA.

The Sr. Principal Technical Services Engineer-Enterprise Maintenance Lead will be responsible for the overall maintenance management of Mission Package assets associated with LCS Class ships to ensure fleet maintenance and logistics support requirements are properly supported. Must be familiar with the operational and maintenance requirements of the US Navy Fleet to ensure their mission readiness and will serve as the primary representative for all mission package maintenance and modernization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Apply extensive technical expertise regarding maintenance execution/management and communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Logistics departments to ensure all aspects of the maintenance effort are successful.

  • Develop technical processes and procedures across all facets of the maintenance department to meet customer expectations and provide training to all personnel including the government customer.

  • Be the subject matter expert and act as the primary point of contact in all things related to the enterprise maintenance program. Will liaise with external organizations as necessary on all technical matters involving the execution of the maintenance concept. This includes but is not limited to: Other Northrop organizations, Military and Government Program Offices and In Service Engineering Agents.

  • Act in the capacity of project leader to ensure the successful accomplishment of organizational objectives, while providing process improvement recommendations along the way.

  • Perform work with little to no supervision while collaborating directly with government customer. Will establish long term technical objectives for the program and brief program leadership accordingly.

  • Track data collection for trend analysis and to support causative research.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Proven experience planning and executing preventative and corrective maintenance availability activities on U.S. Navy ships

  • Demonstrated knowledge of CSMP Management

  • At minimum, required to have an Interim Secret Clearance to start and must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical working knowledge of LCS Class program

  • Experience as a Port Engineer supporting US Navy warships

  • Practical experience in Navy maintenance to include Ship’s Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Preventive Maintenance, and Corrective Maintenance specifically SKED 3.2 and MFOM AWN respectively

Salary Range: $120,900 - $181,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
