JOB SUMMARY:

The Loader Operator is responsible for the safe operation at the stone plant in order to maximize production. The Loader Operator is responsible for preventive maintenance and assisting with basic maintenance activities to include greasing and lubricating process equipment, plant housekeeping and machinery maintenance in addition to using a front-end loader.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Directly communicate with truck drivers/customers visiting the site.

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on plant equipment.

  • Assist with plant repairs, maintenance and housekeeping.

  • Maintain material quality.

  • Maintains constant awareness of safety, efficiency and displays a flexibility and out of the box thinking with the capability to solve problems.

  • Communicate production and maintenance needs to plant management.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be able to safely operate at the asphalt plant.

  • Typically day shift but must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary. Shifts can vary based on customer demand.

  • Prior experience operating asphalt plant preferred.

  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to perform plant record keeping.

  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

  • The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

  • Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting – 50 pounds minimum.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
