Full Job Description and Expectation:

Entry Technicians will be expected to assist and at times lead in material handling (moving, organizing, nesting materials and equipment into specific job kits). Employees are expected to participate in good housekeeping practices, ergonomic lifting, and communication.

Techs must learn, familiarize, and apply common components, and elements required in an installation, or service job.

Techs will be required to locate and inventory components.

Techs must learn and know tools awareness: learn proper tools and storage locations.

Techs will help with loading and unloading of trucks to learn proper format for loading.

Technicians will pick up delivered orders at vendors locations.

Inventory counts and communicating restocking with scheduling manager.

Provide job support (delivering necessary materials that did not originally make it to the site and other similar requests.)

While techs are employed (6 months to 1 year), they will receive basic informal and formal training on Intermediate level practices that include but are not limited to:

Basic knowledge of overhead door installation and repair.

-Technicians must develop a good understanding of all necessary components and equipment required, and the locations of materials, components, and equipment. Understands the "correct JVS way" how to load, stage, install and service.

-Techs will aid and support on gate and special jobs.

-JVS requires all employees to participate in safe working practices.

-Once training is received techs will learn and apply basic knowledge of electrical (low voltage) and carpentry.

Techs will demonstrate the ability to program controls by following manufacture instructions.

Within 2 years JVS technicians are expected to be at an Advanced Level. Advanced Level technicians must have complete understanding and ability to lead and train level 1 entry techs on residential installation and service jobs. They must also have basic knowledge of commercial work, gate installations and understanding of electrical, concrete, carpentry and operate required equipment safely.

Mandatory Requirements

Individuals must have:

A valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Applicants must be able to lift 50lbs.

Read a tape measure.

Have basic power tool experience.

Able to climb and work off a ladder.

Work outdoors in all seasons

Comfortable working at heights on a lift.
