Holiday Inn Front Desk Clerk in Port Clinton, Ohio

Job Title: Front Desk Clerk (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Are you a night owl or prefer working evening hours? Holiday Inn is looking for friendly and dependable individuals to join our front desk team for 2nd (3 PM -- 11 PM) and 3rd (11 PM -- 7 AM) shifts. As the face of our hotel, you'll be responsible for ensuring our guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check guests in and out efficiently and courteously.
  • Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and requests via phone and in-person.
  • Process payments, room charges, and other transactions.
  • Address and resolve guest issues or complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Balance cash drawers and complete daily accounting reports during each shift.
  • Ensure the security of the hotel by monitoring guest access, handling emergencies, and completing regular security checks.
  • Assist with additional tasks such as setting up breakfast for early guests or organizing wake-up calls.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or a customer service role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable and flexible availability for 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays.
