Description:
Interventional Radiology Technologist
What you will do:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs a variety of specialized invasive and non-invasive diagnostic radiologic procedures in collaboration with the physicians or advanced practitioners and the radiology team. The Interventional Radiology Technologist operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain optimal quality radiographs for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
What you will need:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Certification as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and willingness to maintain certification thereafter.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to function with limited or no supervision in normal circumstances.
Ability to assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of lead and/or manager
Ability to recognize pathology and modify examination to provide a complete diagnosis
