Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Assigned Subject or Adjunct
Job Goal: Provide exceptional instruction to assigned students while working within the established policies and procedures of the district.
Employment Terms:10-month Contract
Generally - 7 Hour 20 Minute Day, Exclusive of a (30) Minute Duty Free Lunch
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Evaluation: Annually Pursuant to Oklahoma Law

Job title:Internship Instructor
Job Description:An Internship Instructor is a certified or non-certified instructor who possesses content knowledge in the area of successful workplace practices. Instructors will establish and communicate goals for students to empower them to participate in work-based learning opportunities in the Ponca City Community.
Candidates will deliver instruction in soft skills, communication skills, and professionalism. The instructor must have good communication skills and organizational skills. The Instructor will serve as a point of contact or liaison between the partner sites and Ponca City High School. The instructor will assist the counseling staff with student recruitment and retention. The instructor will also assist in the continued development and enhancement of the AIM Initiative (Apprenticeships, Internships, and Mentorships) for Ponca City High School Students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes and implements classroom procedures designed to maximize student learning in an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. 2. Prepares written lesson plans consistent with Oklahoma State Department of Education Internship requirements.
Complies with and fully implements all Individualized Education Plans and behavioral or academic interventions.
Maintains a neat and orderly classroom, including the physical arrangement of the room, student records and materials.
Handles routine classroom discipline fairly.
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
Attends and participates in all required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning meetings and continually strives for professional growth.
