As a Mechanical Project Engineer reporting directly to the Director of Product development, you will work collaboratively within our product development team to develop a wide variety of parts and accessories for the boating and RV industries.
You will be an integral member of the engineering team committed to delivering superior results. You'll work with the product development team as you own and manage all Engineering aspects of Product Development across multiple projects. This a very unique opportunity that will place you on the ground floor of a newly formed Engineering department allowing you to develop and grow step by step with the organization. You will be a key contributor in shaping the future of SeaChoice Engineering and Product Development.

Develop, validate, and document a wide variety of marine and RV products
Work as a team member within the Seachoice Product Development Team (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Project Management)
Be hands on - take products apart and perform testing to get a better understanding of how they function and their intended use
Own all Engineering tasks on a project, from inception to completion
Conduct or organize validation test plans and testing
Interface with cross-functional teams throughout Brunswick Corporation including many OEM Boat Builders
Utilize CAD software/Solidworks to create drawing/model packages
Perform dimensional stack up and data driven root cause analysis while walking through a gated product development process
Develop products using various manufacturing processes and understanding the design considerations needed for each of these processes
Consult with suppliers and customers on a global scale to find solutions to problems
Apply engineering techniques, procedures, criteria, and judgment to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited program
2+ years of Engineering/Product Development experience using a wide variety of manufacturing processes
Basic office skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Experience using Solidworks
Proficient use of GD&T and general tolerancing
Clear and concise communication
High level of self-organization
Entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with using and managing a PDM system
Marine and/or RV experience
Design experience using globally recognized standards
ABYC Certified
Formal/informal leadership experience
Graduate Degree
