The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. The Clerk II performs moderately complex secretarial work involving answering correspondence, distributing mail, maintaining records and filing and preparing routine reports. The Clerk II functions as the Unit Receptionist and oversees the overall operation of the Unit office. Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Clerk II works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. The Clerk II must be able to read, type and write reports in English.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. and#149; Effectively performs routine secretarial duties and serves as the Unit Receptionist. and#149; Effectively ensures that the appropriate unit supplies and purchases are obtained utilizing state and local procedures and methods. and#149; Maintains effective communication with Unit Director and acts as liaison between Unit Director and both unit staff and campus departments. Works harmoniously that result in a cohesive and productive work environment. and#149; Completes all assigned documentation accurately and complies with annual training requirements. and#149; Must be able to read, type and write English.and#149;Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Work and Outlook.Other duties as assigned including but not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligation for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of operations (COOP) activation.
