Naval Air Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Point Mugu, California

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the PROGRAM AND BUSINESS ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. Responsibilities You will assist in formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate related duties to the following: 1) Working with financial analysis and interpretation and evaluation of funding plans; 2) Tracking funding, validating expenses, reviewing transactions in accounting system, and reconciling accounts; 3) Making recommendations for financial data corrections; 4) Utilizing Microsoft Excel to extract data from automated systems and format into reports; 5) Demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Assisting with data entry into automated systems; 2) Assisting in providing administrative support, financial support and financial transaction processing; 3) Demonstrating strong writing, oral communication, and teaming skills; 4) Researching and reviewing guides to support program activities.
