TITLE: EDUCATION COACH\ \ LOCATION: Head Start\ \ \ CLOSING DATE: Position is open until be open until filled.

\ DAYS: Nine-month position (190 days) 37.5 hours per week.\ \ SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be \$29.14 per hour.\ \ START DATE: ASAP

JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION\ 1. Provides opportunities for intensive, research-based coaching support for education staff, including opportunities to be observed and receive feedback and modeling of effective teaching practices directly related to program performance goals.\ \ 2. Provides opportunities and resources for education staff to receive other forms of research-based professional development aligned with program performance goals.\ \ 3. Through coaching, supports education staff, as needed, in carrying out the goals, policies, and activities designed to implement educational objectives and performance standards.\ \ 4. Assists in providing training/technical assistance as requested in these areas.\ \ 5. Enters professional development for education staff into Child Plus database.\ \ 6. Familiar with, and stays current in program curriculum, assessment tools, program screening tool, School Readiness Goals, Head Start frameworks and other education tools/systems used by the program.\ \ 7. Stays current in the field of early childhood research-based practices and program policies and procedures to assure that information shared with education staff is in alignment with each.\ \ 8. Attends monthly PLC meetings.\ \ 9. Provides monthly updates to Children Services Manager regarding staff professional development and coaching plans.\ \ JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Requires a Bachelors degree in early childhood education, child and family development, or related field with the equivalent coursework hours to an A.A. degree in E.C.E.
2. Experience working in early childhood programs.
