Job Title: Blackjack Pit Supervisor

General Definition: Ensure excellent service to our patrons; supervise personnel working in their respective areas. Preserve the integrity of the games with close scrutiny of dealers and patrons.

Supervision Received: Shift Supervisor

Supervision Exercised: All Blackjack dealers and Floor Supervisors in assigned area\ Essential Job Functions:

It encompasses exemplary guest services, salesmanship of our players cards and all properties, and a true passion to serve our guests.\ Initiate and observe the dealers and Floor Supervisors during the table banks open and close process. This includes verifying the playing cards, ensuring the shuffle machine is in working condition, and verifying the table bank paperwork is completed, signed, and submitted to the Shift Supervisor or locked in a table bank and assign incoming and outgoing floor personnel to conduct the table game count at shift change.\ Control all pit table bank inventories by initiating or directing and completing fills to the table bank and credits from table bank following all electronic and paper process provided. Maintain master pit inventory sheet, MTL transaction log, and pit accountability sheet. Resolve standard errors in the accounting process using error notification forms and inform Shift Supervisor of all non-standard errors.\ Initially investigate and resolve all standard patron disputes under \$250.00 using available means such as: dealer information, player information, floor information, and surveillance information to resolve the dispute. Report all decisions and information to the Shift Supervisor. Prepare event information reports as needed for documentation and provide the patron with a customer compliant form as needed.\ Maintain physical presence on casino floor to ensure all games are played within compliance regulations. Continually observe games in progress for possible irregularities in player, dealer, or Floor Supervisor conduct. Inform Shift Supervisor of any deviation from standard dealing procedures. Control all access to pit area and podiums.\ Identify barred patrons using the table view system and the daily updated barred list via email; immediately communicate barred persons information to the Shift Supervisor or operations.\ Communicate all information about assigned pit to the incoming relief Pit Supervisor including: table losses, tracked players, patron feedback on promotions, and irregular situations. Ensure Floor Supervisors place any dealer findings of irregularities in error log at the end of each shift.\ Initiate, review, and submit all 10K+ loss findings to Shift Supervisor\ Direct break times for all Floor Supervisors and pit section assignments for all Floor Supervisors.\ Mentor Floor Supervisors for development by continuously evaluating performance and coach in order to maximize their potential; properly assess dealers abilities through the use of communicating surveillance audits, IDP completion, annual performance evaluations, and ongoing training and feedback/counseling to enhance performance. Attend all mandatory training functions in order to stay current on existing leadership and gaming practices\ Enforce MICS, TICS, facility/departmental, gaming/compliance regulations, and standard operation procedures for the facility by providing ongoing training; coach and provide feedback to all Dealers and Floor Supervisors in order to execute functions within compliance regulations. Initiate SARC investigations as needed.\ Communicate employee concerns to the Shift Supervisor and participate in investigations while maintaining confidentiality; effectively resolve all minor concerns or complaints. Immediately report any suspicious activity or breach of title 31 compliance to Shift Supervisor\ Assume the Shift Supervisor role in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. This includes: all shift paperwork is accurately completed and submitted, direct the labor force for the shift, and direct opening and closing of all pit, and report any concerns to the Blackjack Manager or the Shift Supervisor upon their return. Assume dealer role when needed due to staffing or unexpected increase in business.\ Perform all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or GED
