Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing customer service, maintaining databases, processing purchase orders, and conducting various accounting duties. Responsibilities: • Manage customer service communications via phone, email and internet, using strong business communication skills. • Process purchase orders from customers and perform all related activities for an assigned territory or specific duties. • Maintain accuracy of databases including ERP and Salesforce. • Handle return authorizations and consignments as warranted by customer's needs. • Prepare, update and maintain SMA contacts for accuracy in invoicing customers. Work with SMA Sales representative to timely quote renewals. • Investigate validity and generate software licenses requested by customers and technical support. • Manage Accounts Receivable: Prepare and process customer invoices as needed. Review and analyze accounts receivable aging. Make collection calls/emails as needed to outstanding customers. Daily processing and balancing of payments. • Manage Accounts Payable: Process and enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system and maintain all related files. • Calculate monthly commissions and prepare reports for sales reps. • Assist in preparation and enter monthly journal entries. • Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, QuickBooks. • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Requirements • Possess working knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to perform Journal Entries accurately

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for accounting tasks

• Experience in using QuickBooks for financial management tasks

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus.
