Daikin Applied Senior Manager - Learning and Design - Hybrid - Plymouth, MN in Plymouth, Minnesota

The Senior Manager, Learning Design is responsible for managing design projects across the Daikin Learning organization. This exciting role will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing a design roadmap. To be successful in the role, he or she will work with leaders across the organization to prioritize our projects and initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing both internal and external design resources. Strong knowledge of a variety of learning modalities is highly desirable. Daikin Learning teaches highly technical engineering topics and requires design experience on highly technical topics. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN What you will do: Develop and execute a comprehensive learning design strategy aligned with organizational goals Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers and learning specialists Collaborate with senior leadership to identify learning needs and priorities Manage multiple simultaneous projects directing the work of internal and external resources Leverage standard learning project management practices and tools including charter, scope, schedule, budget, risk, and dashboard Partner with leaders, sponsors, and subject matter experts to identify learning opportunities that drive business results Produce needs analysis, high-impact learning maps, and learner personas that deliver innovative, performance-based learning outcomes Identify opportunities to leverage learning and collaborative technologies to enhance the learner experience Leverage high-impact instructional design methodology to create engaging learning content and interactive learning experiences aligned to business results Develop solutions that create powerful targeted learning experiences in a variety of modalities: virtual classrooms, eLearning, video, learning pathways, playlists, instructor-led, etc. Contribute to the evaluation and selection of learning technologies for the organization Lead the Instructional Design process in the organization Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs Prepare and present reports on learning outcomes and impact to senior leadership Use data-driven insights to inform future learning initiative What's in it for you: Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Design, Learning, Education or Human Resources (or similar) 7+ Years of Adult Learning & Development 3+ Years of management/team leadership Experience with different learning technologies, such as: Adobe suite, SnagIt, WebEx, Camtasia, Articulate, Intrepid, Cornerstone, Vyond, etc. Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and e-learning development tools Proven experience managing complex learning projects and leading cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or similar Design or PMP Certification Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
